Arrena Natural Mineral Water joins forces with ARCHELON, the Association for the Protection of the Sea Turtle, in a new collaboration that aims to provide support to researchers and volunteers active in Zakynthos. During the summer months, Arrena makes sure they stay hydrated, strengthening their daily action to record and protect the reproduction of the sea turtle Caretta caretta.
The Bay of Laganas, where the reproductive activity of Caretta caretta was first observed in 1977, is today one of the most important habitats for the species in the Mediterranean. Since 1984, ARCHELON has been constantly present in the region, implementing one of the longest-running research programs worldwide for the sea turtle.
The contribution of ArrenA Natural Mineral Water is part of the broader context of the company’s sustainability actions, which aim to preserve biodiversity, the responsible use of natural resources and the strengthening of environmental initiatives in protected areas, such as the National Marine Park of Zakynthos.
